Saturday, Sunday and today this site has been very slow indeed.
Both this morning and this afternoon (EU time) I have waited two or three minutes for a page and have then seen:

Slow doesn't begin to describe the speed today ... glacial might be more like it.
I've been reading a page or two of the newspaper between clicks.

Yes, the site has been slow for me too. Over the weekend I sometimes couldn't even get a page to load before I got the "Connection Timed Out" notice.

"Eventual reply"?

Yes, I've had trouble getting onto the site.
stay tuned. Will be upgrading to a whole new dedicated server soon. Obviously the last upgrade seems to have been a total flop.
Also, looking into denial of service attacks. Legal action will be taken if any such attacks are tracked to U.S origins. Already have spoken with our attorney and the data gathering is in the works.
Most likely, the forum will be put in read only when the move takes place in a few days.

Since Saturday night, I've been trying to access RFF of an on from two separate systems, one a dial-up and one a hefty commercial connection. Both are extremely, uncharacteristically slow for RFF.
My work connection is slower than usual for all Internet sites today, but the glacial pace of RFF suggests something beyond ordinary traffic. Surely the host can tell you if something unusual is going on?

I had no RFF at all yesterday despite numerous attempts to log on. I'm on GMT BTW & I need my fix!
Hope to see the upgrade soon.

Andy
