Sorry, it's one of my (multiple) odd things. If Buphamet is the same as Baphomet, it was the 'diabolic' idol supposedly adorated by the templar knights. In fact that was one of the main accusations they received when the whole templar order was dissolved, all French templars emprisoned, tortured or (as happened with the last order master, Jacques de Molay) burnt alive.

It's such a fascinating story if you like Middle Ages history.
