Early morning, combination of snow, clouds and mist gives very warm effects.

Views from my back garden in Bavaria (the footprints are my dogs prints, this is the reason for getting up and going out at sunrise ...)

Where in Bavaria are you? I work for Bayerische Landesbank in New York. Visited Munich last February (2005).

Looks awesome memnon, wish I could go out for a walk on a morning like that. On the second thought, it looks damn cold. Very nice tones, the fog adds to the dreamy look. I praricularly like the second photo, the diagonal division by the poles along the road and how darker road balances bright sun. The poles lead the eye into infinity. Again, very nice.

Jorge ... Thats what I thought when I moved out here, used to live in Schwabing (Munich) which is considered the heartbeat of the "union" But I got a dog and a tractor and it all worked out great.

Copake, this is between Munich and Garmisch, look the other way and you see the bavarian alps

Lido, I can tell you -20C but doesn't seen cold until you see your fingers dropping off ... Truely these mornings are the nicest

... It's winter so the sun rises late, I guess this is about 06:30 to 07:00....

I rise, I take the dog for walk, I clear the road (snow-wise) drink coffee, heat up the stoves (old farm house) and jump straight back into bed until 10-ish or so....

Memno, I was in Munich for Octoberfest in 1987. The alps are incredible and if you get out to the country away from the city its aewsome. None the less, I like the colors very much. It sets a special mood.

The tones and light quality in these images is spectacular. Usually, you only find tones like these in b&w negative film. What lens and film did you use for these?
