Trittium: Love the chairs. Soft, creamy tones. Also, the photograph has other attributes. Raises a question. Why one so worn, the other not?

Good question! I don't really know, they were discarded in an alley. I bet the worn one was the bosses. He sat on his duff all day. The soft creamiy tones are a result of the printing. I enlarged the neg on Ilford Pearl paper, then scanned. I was quite happy with the result myself.

After seeing the different interpretations of "decay", here's one of mine:

Leica M6 + 50mm Summicron @ f/2 / Fuji NPS 160
Just another interpretation, this is from the zone around an abandoned chalk quarry I visited two weekends ago. The place operated up until the 70s, the huge stone was used to press the raw mineral into powder.
It's a lovely place to lose yourself for some hours, just beware of all the rusty irons shouting 'tetanus!' at you ;)

Here's some from a body of work entitled "Attracting to Emptiness"
shot in Le Marche Italy, with a Plaubel 67
No matter many times i try to post the image in thread instead of an attachment by using "insert image" and pasting the URL of it from my website - it doesn't work just shows the web link???

Lucious Todd. You can feel the damp decay.
Speaking of decay does anyone like the films by Andrei Tarkovsky in particular "Stalker" and "Nostalgia"? Visual Treasures......

Great Stuff people!
My favourite subject decay, and since I live in Birmingham, this is one subject I have absolutely no shortage of. However this one is from Cornwall, Pentewan to be exact.

Powerful images Simon indeed, especially the skulls.
Here's a more bucolic image of Cornish farmer Ronald's old tractor. You should see the new one!

Walker, I don't know if that could be properly classifed as 'decay'.
Seems more like 'distruction' to me :)
