View Full Version : Why the bump in G2's?
For months these were going for $350 to $400 US on the 'bay... the last few weeks I have seen $450 to $550 for a body only.... what gives? Someone start another Digital G rumor? :) Someone confuse these for the Zeiss lenses everyone wants to use on their Nikon and Canon DSLRs? :)
C'mon guys, they're discontinued and you are lucky if you can get ToCAD to even touch/fix one here in American... you don't want a G2... all you G2 bidders go away....
I'm giving you until April (when March is over) :)
:D
A black 35-70 zoom was just recently sold on ebay for some 450 Euro, a couple of month ago it would have sold for at least 750.
Everything else seems to be steady and holding at their price points (the 21 has even dropped a little), but for some reason the G2s have gone up (just when I'm considering a second body).
Socke, did you ever get a lead on the new repair facility in Germany?
...and a G1 case sold for $140 tonight. Jees.

people cannot get new ones so I think ones in minty or like new condition are commanding high prices, because of this
Quite simple. Superb quality fetches top $$$$
I think everyone who ditched a G2 at any price just because they wanted to 'upgrade' to digital has done so by now..

Really sorry to tell you that perhaps I am (as a consumer) the answer.: The appeareance of the new ZI boiled my head to have that system. Going to the prices brought me back to satisfy myself with an used G-2 system. Now I am on the line for a convenient price. You are telling me that I may have to wait a lot.
What a happiness with Kiev !!!
Cheers,
Ruben
