View Full Version : My first Ikon shots
I shot these last weekend with an old Zeiss Ikon 6x9 folder. I borrowed the camera from a friend and dont know wich model it is exactly, the lens is an "anastigmat 105mm" (coated), but I doubt that'll help narrow it down much ;) Anyway, these were all long exposures, about 10 minutes on average, shot at f22 on Tri-X souped in rodinal special.
Excellent images from the old folder! I like the way hilights register with this lens. What are the light streaks in the last image, a flashlight or torch?

Thanks :) The light spots in the first two images are from a flashlight, actually I thought I had some nicer shots with that flashlight but turns out I forgot to advance the film twice :bang: Thats a real pain when each picture takes 15 minutes to set up  The last picture is me flicking half a box of matches (under an umbrella - this is Belgium after all ;) ).

Hehehe, yeah 10 minutes exposure requires some compensation, I actually thought about using 100 ISO film but decided I'd probably die frozen before finishing a roll.
The third picture down here is what happens when I forget to advance the film :bang:
Kind suggestion, your images are wonderful themselves. Toss those frames and don't crop. They are beautiful as they are...

Yeah the frames dont work when I post the pictures on here, I tend to ad frames any time I save images in small in photoshop so people can see them with a neutral background. As for cropping, well I tend to do that a lot, I actually decide on the cropping before I take the shot, especially when I can't change focal lengths (otherwise I only use it if the 3:2 format isnt right for the subject, for panoramics for example :) ).
Very nice. My gas attacks look fairly stupid when you can produce images like this with an old folder. :p

Thanks :) I guess I probably shouldn't reveal that taking these pictures has reawakened my GAS for a fuji 690 GSW :D
