Hi,

I'm trying to use HC-110 as my main developer. I got really good result with it when I expose the film at 320. However, I failed to get the right time for EI 800 and 1600.

I developed a film expose at 320 for 9.5min and it looks fine. I tried developing a film expose at 800 for 13min, in dilution H (1:63) at 68F but the film was overdeveloped.

Can you share your time for HP5 push development in HC-110, both at EI800 and EI1600? It'll be good if you can share your agitation method too.

Thanks.

Jeff

If you have not seen it yet use Covingtons The Unofficial HC110 site (http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/hc110/).

11 to 14 min at dilution H sounds in the ball park so you may want to do a "clip test" to find the correct values for your water and equipment. The Covington link explains how to do that.

I have not tried pushing with HC110, I use it in higher dilutions (1:100 and 1:119) for pulling and box ratred EV exposure. With the high dilutions I use a semi stand, 30 seconds gentle agitation at the start and then 5 gentle inversions every 3 min. I followed some of the postings of GeneW here to get started.

Thanks. I'll look for GeneW's post.
