All would be perfect *IF* I wasn't so tired.... This auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7597519462&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT&rd=1 includes the 85/135 Zeiss-Ikon mask accessory, but it's the one for Contax-III (I was seeking one for the Contax-II that would adapt on my Kiev... so ... I'm just pointing out that you can either outbid me, or contact me once I'll win this auction (if I do win)
Voila..

Can't you Email the seller and point out that you made a mistake and that he should withdraw your auction?
Cheers.

I could do this, but then maybe I'll soon have another Kiev-3 or Kiev-4 in my hands, or maybe a Contax-III who knows... I'd love to find an old Kiev-3 specimen. We'll see how things go! It's just to point out that it's not a priority for me :)
Or maybe I can exchange with someone who wanted a Contax-III finder and bought a contax-II one by mistake :p ;)

I took contact with the seller, so I'll know soon

Thanks a lot JB for the suggestion... I explained my error to the seller and he very kindly agreed to cancel my bid. :) phew

Accessories are a great way to take your GAS to the next level. E.g. why buy a Soviet or Zeiss finder when you could buy a Leica finder, then add a Leica! ;) I hear that Voigtlander made some nice finders too - why not add a Bessa? ;)

Right Mike, and sometimes I'm even half asleep ... bidded on 2 non-working 80/2.8 biometar lenses for pentaconsix (didn't read properly)... I hope the buyer will notice my message saying I made a mistake. *blushes profusely*

Ah that's exactly the 544/7 finder the man was selling... btw I adore the viewfinder in your avatar.. it makes me drool in the most disgusting ways! :D

If you really want to drool, check out the website.....
No thanks - the mask meant for the Contax II would work fine with the 85/4 and the lovely push-on filters :) FYI for the others, the prewar Triotar shown has no filter threads.

Very nice site, I've already been visiting it several times... and I think with a name like this, Nicolas is certainly a frenchie compatriot :)

On second thought, the CZJ turret finder has parallax correction that you don't get with the mask.
My preferred prewar telephoto outfit: Contax II, 85/4 Triotar, CZJ Turret 28,35,50,86,135 + Nico's generous gift (one of four filters) Curious to see how the 90/4 Elmar performs in comparison. (the Triotar is a winner)

One can only appreciate such a beautiful outfit, Mike. I finally managed to win a 435/2 Zeiss 35mm viewfinder, maybe... maybe I'll try to get a Contax-II before getting the turret viewfinder :D I had a KMZ universal turret VF, but it was the one oriented left, so I gave it to my dad who happily uses it on his Zorki-6. I never thought I'd go so mad with cameras (oh and by the way I managed to get a 300/4 Sonnar for my pentacon six!)
*blushes at his foolishness* ... all your GAS are belong to us!
