I wish there was an active classic TLR forum. I've used Yashica TLR cameras for years and currently have a 124 (not G), 635, and a gray model "A" that I used for the first time last week. Wonderful photos.

nelsonfoto might be usable as a TLR forum, but I am not 100% I like that place yet. Otherwise it would be cool to create a forum for such talk, yes. My 'mat 124 is my standard MF camera.

I love both photos. The photo of the girl is very expressive and the food shot really shows the portential of the Yashica lens.

I am resistered with nelsonfoto, but haven't used it much. These are beautiful cameras. I have never used my 124. I need to work with it. In the 1980's I did studio portraiture with a couple of 124G units. That was when they cost $112 from Calumet! I like the option of using it a waist level. :D

I'm actually about to go out shooting with my 124 right now. I have been inspired. That, and I'm doing more testing of Efke 25 vs. Agfa 25.

The thing about nelsonfoto that throws me just a bit is that CE Nelson formed it after he got sick of PN. Which is fine, but there is just enough PN bashing on that there I get a bit uncomfortable. Also, the group is still relatively small - not enough people to get a critical mass to keep conversations going left and right. Heck, even RFF seems like it dies down a bit too often.
