I think he's had that collection up for auction four or five times before. I guess bidders with $68,000 to drop are few and far between.

Well, i don't have 18 doors to keep open in my house, what should i do with so many?:D
For anyone with a wish to "complete" a collection, there is the one-time opportunity to do so! As I recall in seeing the auction before, a couple of the country variants exist only in 2 samples. Probably impossible to duplicate this effort.
Why would you want something like this? An investment? Surely cameras a pretty poor investment vehicle...
Part of the fun of collecting is in the collecting itself. This would take all the fun out of it. I think the fun would be in the hunt, finding all the cameras individually, here and there. You would get a nice rush (and the seller a larger check) when you find the last one needed to finish your collection. That would be a collection I would be proud of. Not one all it took was writing a check for.
I couldn't not have that many cameras, and not use them all either. I'd be a poor collector, taking one out each day to actually 'use' :)
These are toys for a millionaire ... never to be used for taking photographs.

Yes, those who can afford these should own other Ms for taking photos.
If only they have one with the Chilean flag (my homeland) I will buy on the spot, bummer!
