Wondering if anyone here has tried buying a camera on this site: http://www.govliquidation.com/list/c7377.

They seem to have some pretty nice equipement, I wonder if this is widely known?

I never bought from there but I did buy a Canon T90 and a 500 f4.5 lens from the state of Nebraska Govt. auction

Looks interesting. Thanks for the info.

Given that a lot of the listings are for multiple items ("lots") I'm guessing that some eBay sellers "source" from this site.

I'm "bookmarking" this one for future reference.

Be sure to review the shipping terms before you bid. They do not ship, and you need to make arrangements with a local company to pick up and package any items you win. I suppose that would add quite a bit to the cost of any auction you may win. So, unless you are prepared to pick up your items personally, it will be difficult to find a bargain.

Yes, I noted that - which is why this is probably only a good way to get gear if you are either local or are buying a large enough lot to justify hiring a shipping company. Too bad, I saw a single F3 that was of interest but its at Elgin AFB in FL and I am in NY.

That Spanish proverb translates as: "The Devil knows more from being old than from being the Devil". Puede ser que haya verdad en eso.
