I wanted to share my experiences using this wonderfull developer as universal, since I didnt see it mentioned much on the net.
It works great as a developer for ilford pan 400,kodak pan x ,agfa apx films. I greatly recommend it for it is easy to use(I use about half a liter to develop 4 films two by two).It is also quite economical since it can be dilluted from 1+10 to 1+30 and contrast\tonality\grain can be tweaked.Costs 20$ per Liter in Israel.
The downside it is very temperature conscious.I've been told it works great with Tmax but I havet tried it yet.
One I've never tried but always wanted to. I find that a lot of the great developers like Ethol UFG are largely overlooked.

it does wonders on tmax 100 - clears the base to a transparent crystal clear

I have 1L can of this developer, but it doesn't have any instruction and I don't know how to use it the best way.
Is it similar to Ilford liquid developers? (DDX, llfosol)
Maybe this is of some thelp:

Use UltraFin Plus for Tri-X and it is amazing, punchy, very little grain, great total scale.
I also have a lot of APX100 to develop and have some stock of Rodinal but have been thinking of using UltraFin. What times and dilution do you use. What is the grain like etc.

I used Ultrafin liquid plus with Ilford delta 400 in the photo-course I took some weeks ago. Gave great results after 11 minutes.

This instruction raise more questions ... why there are 2 tables with different times for condensor and diffusion enlargers?
I don't have any enlarger(at least now), and I don't know where and on which equipment I will print next time.
HP5+ , as 400
condenser:
1:10 4.30min
1:20 8 min
diffusion:
1:10 12min
4.30 min vs 12 min for the same stock is a huge difference.
If someone have times for HP5+ and Tri-X in small(inversion) tank, please share it

For the tri-x try:
1-19 @ 20C for 11min.

That's the ONLY developer I use...
The massive dev chart has all information you need. Ultrafin is a highly basic, high acurity developer, so it works better with TMAX due to their T-grain and the alkali is able to wash out the mask easily. I used to use it a lot before I started to push TX to 1600, something requires a milder developer so I switched to HC-110.
The dev time difference is because diffuser enlargers require more contrast on the negative to print a proper image, I cannot explain the huge difference in time, maybe ultrafin has good compensating properties so prolonged development does not make a huge difference to density.
