My monthly wage arrived, it's now time for G.A.S.!!! One and half hour to wait... I can't wait anymore!!!!!!!!! :D Let's see what they have! ;)
Man! do you hav enough money for food? Every time you get your cheque, you spend it on FSU gear, it seems.
I am just jealous, thats all ;)

Hehe ... yes I know! No honestly, things will be better now... Xmas was a very expensive time of the year between gifts and plane tickets.. but I'll be moderate this month ;)

When I was a kid in school I never/ever/ever raised my hand to ask a question about something I could eventually figure out myself. Either by reading a book or just paying attention and listening.
But I'm older now, and not quite so worried about looking stoopid, so....what the heck does G.A.S. stand for? :)

Joe, I'm about an hour and a half south west of Edmonton. Little town called Winfield. Take my 120 film to the gals at Colorfast every couple weeks or so.

winfield?
have not heard of that one, tho i'm no expert on small town alberta.
i have started to use colourfast again.
i can send a finished 'file' to them by email and then pick up a print in a day or 2.
i don't do alot of prints so having a printer of my own makes little sense.
good to see another albertan on the board - there are a couple.

well it ended up that I did not purchase anything, there was no particularly interesting camera this time, and as usual the 6.5/28 Orion-15, and 5.6/20 RM2 Russar-2 lenses available are only in LTM ... blah... same for a nice J-9. If any of you is selling a J-9 in Kiev mount i'm interested!!
Max
I am sorry you didnt find anything. I wish I could get those lenses around the corner :) are they expensive?

lubitel, the Orion-15 goes for about 3900 CZK, the Russar MR2 5.6/20 (with its 20mm viewfinder) goes for 10500 CZK.
The currency is Czech Crowns, can be converted on www.xe.com :)
I just noticed I have about $300 in reserve after selling some unnecessary Nikon equipment... Hmm. GAS TIME!

Aaaaaaargh!!!!!!!! GAS TIME!!!
I must have been bored this weekend, got myself some stuff on the bay :
- 40.5mm vented hood
- 85/2 Jupiter-9 [Kiev mount]
- 50/2 Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar (collapsible, prewar) probably 1936 according to the serial number (can be seen here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7584161825&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 )
And I swore that I wouldn't buy any gear this month :(
..
..
.. good joke heh? ;)

;) I'll cover part of my costs however, as I'm parting with a Zorki-S :)
Congrats with J-9 Max :)
Orion-15 6/28 for Kiev does exist, but honestly, an SC 28/3.5 from Cosina is a better option for about the same cost.

speaking of orion-15, i have bought one on ebay recently (though admittedly in ltm for my zorki 4 k), for € 90 including shipping, which is alright. awaiting its delivery, and then it’s testing time. :D
