View Full Version : CV Lenses?
Anyone use the CV lenses in Nikon RF mount ...
I'm particularly curious about the performance of the 85/3.5 APO and the 35/2.5 - are they both the same as their screw/M mount counterparts?
Links to galleries would be cool too.
I have the 24 / 4 and find it to be an excellent lens in both performance and build. It differs from the LTM in that it is RF coupled and the LTM is not. Very fine lens.
I have the 28/3.5 and 85/3.5 and find them to be excellent.
You won't go wrong with VC's for the Nikon RF.
I have the SC 35/2.5 i used it for a big project and i thought it was sharp and not too contrasty which suited me perfectly. However i've decided to sell it as i've ordered a nikkor 3.5. Before i sell it i'll shoot some of each to see what discernable difference it makes to me visually. One thing i found annoying about the VC was the aperture ring was very easy to move and i can see why Nikkon originally put their aperture ring inside the front barrel. The lens hood it comes with is way too shallow and it did flare at times but the sunlight in Cambodia can be very harsh. It does come with a clamp on focus grip which is quite useful although i tended to use the focus wheel on the top plate of the camera.
I can post various samples if you want to see but i only shoot in b/w.
