Help identifying film ...

This is kind of a spinoff of the photo of the week thread where I'm unsure what film was actually used for a photo I submitted.

I'm attatching a scan of the negative strip, showing all of the bar codes and such, does anybody know fairly certainly what film it is?

I have a feeling it is Agfa/Walgreens 400 that was erroneously packaged in a cartridge marked 200.

On this trip I had some Fuji 400, Fuji 200 and WG/Agfa 200, all unwrapped and ready for hand inspection, so I'm very certain of what I had.

I did look on the web to see if there was an easy chart or something for identifying negatives. I didn't find any. Does anybody know of any? Thanks. :)

I can't be certain, but I suspect you may be right. As I recall (I'm not at home), Fuji film says Fuji on the edge markings. Agfa house-brand doesn't say Agfa. I can compare some known specimins when I get home tonight, but I've never had an of the house-brand Agfa 400, only the 200. Still, it may help if no one else comes up with a definitive answer.

Yes, it looks like repackaged Agfa film to me, the kind you'd get from Walgreens or Carrefour. I have a few like that.

I'm looking at some Walgreens/Agfa 400 negatives I have. They are identical in markings to your samples with the exception of what I take to be a "batch" number. Yours says "8045-10" while mine say "5035-40". IMO, your negatives are Walgreens Agfa.

Do you think it's possible that all of us who scooped up the 75¢ per roll 200 ASA WG Agfa actually got the 400 speed film by mistake?

I really don't know. I did check that roll I took in Chicago in October, and it had the triangles on the film but was marked ISO 200 at the top.

I'm not really sure if the 400 roll was one out of one of the multi-packs or the single packs. Back then I did pick up a few single rolls at $1. I have one out of one of the multi-packs in the Mamiya now. I'll let you know what it is when I have it processed. :)
