View Full Version : Agfa Copex rapid film
I read an article in the October 2005 issue of Black & White Photography on high-resolution film..e.g.Agfa Copex Rapid. Sounded interesting so I ordered two rolls from J&C along with the recommended developed, SPUR Nanospeed.
I was wondering if anyone had tried this combination? What were your results?
Thanks.

Check with Donald Qualls (at APUG)
He uses this film and has developed a developer for it.
His results were impressive.
Thanks to all. I have a feeling this is going to be a one-shot deal for me. I think it'll probably work better for certain subjects than others--finding which is which may take too long..
I also love(d) APX 25.
Just shot a whole roll of this with the Zeiss Biogon 25mm in the Saturn V hangar @ Kennedy Space Center. Still scanning and this was far from ideal conditions (hand-holding and low light) but the shots certainly have "something". What I like about them is the contours . The resolution is there as well but the hand-holding hasn't helped - I need to shoot some of this stuff on a sunny day with a tripod. Example:

This is straight off the scanner (Coolscan 8000ED, cropped to edges of film and with just auto-contrast applied)
