Updates to the Canon Rumor?

Was the Canon buying Leica rumor just a whole lot of bullocks? A troll? A passing of the time?

It seems to me that I recall some people saying they'd be finding out last Tuesday, which has well and truly passed.

As to the topic here - can't we get through the Zeiss thing and then deal with the Canon/Leica thing? Elsewise, Jorge going to have to get even more storage space for ungodly long threads! ;)
