I have this "half-plate" (I think) Graflex Super D. Whatever you call it, it's one size down from 4x5 -- i.e. one where they no longer make film for it.

I was very graciously given a Graflex "22" roll-film back for it. This produces 6x6 negatives. The way this roll-film back is put together, it looks like it shares parts with a 6x9 back. Is there really a 6x9 roll-film back for this camera? What's it called?

Thanks for any help.

Julian

One size down from 4x5 was 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 and J&C Photo sells that size. Or you can cut down 4x5. I have two R.B. Series D Graflexes -- a 4x5 and a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 (http://www.electricedge.com/greymatter/archives/00006191.htm). There was also a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 version (6x9cm). There was a 5x7 but I don't think that was available as a Super D. Check out graflex.org (http://www.graflex.org/) for all things Graflex.

The 6x9 back is called "23", for 2 x 3 inches, just as the 6x6 is "22". You might be able to just get the insert instead of the whole back. It should work.

Thank you very much. Another reason why RFF is great. I greatly appreciate it. Now, to find that "23" back.
