Dan, just ignore all the hardcorders here. It's simply a matter of short sightedness. I myself admittedly is guilty of this as well - when I tell myself a crappy P&S camera can't produce anything of quality, that is, until I see some great work from a P&S camera.

The people here who are so adamant about their "traditional" B&W workflow are horribly short-sighted... Probably not having being exposed to enough quality work done both other methods, or simply because they don't know any better, beyond the stuff they do know about.

on that subject, I've found a lot of inspiration on flickr.. or maybe I should say frustration.. I see photos taken by high schoolers with digital P&S cams that put most of my shots to shame.. it truly is as they say... it's not what you've got but what you do with it

here is the color version. I think the idea is not bad, I have color and I have the option to convert it to BW, I can not convert a BW into color. the converted BW printed to 11x14 and 16x20, it looks great and no one question me wether it is faked BW or not

ok, i am not going to let this post turn into another fake vs real pile on.

i do not shoot in colour
i don't like colour and have no need for colour film.
i prefer a range of black & white films to choose from.

thank you all for coming.
