Saw that. What does... "COLLAPS HOOD FOR 22 ON LEFT WITH CAPS " mean?

The lens takes 48 mm filters, but is much wider at the front because of the collapsed hood, so the push on cap covers the complete front including collapsed hood. No clue about 22
