new for me

as you might know i am just learning how to use photoshop, on my own from practice and reading and some great tips found here on our own forum.
i just read this article and tried it and, while somewhat subtle, i quite like the effect.
this may be 'old news' but i'm excited.

Very interesting. This is news to me too, I've been using Photoshop for ages but I only scratch about 5% of it's functionality.

This is a good tip, I have used it on low contrst BW images to give a little more punch to faces in a portrait.
