Found this at the O'Reilly MacDevCenter (http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2005/08/05/photography.html)

This rig allows you to take photographs by saying "Take shot" into the microphone of a Bluetooth headset. The picture itself is taken by an iSight fixed on my shoulder. As voice recognition is not always perfect, especially in a noisy environment like a city, you'll hear "Picture taken" in the headset if everything went fine. Both the headset and the iSight are connected to a 12" PowerBook tucked into the backpack.

I thought it was an interesting hack. I wonder is the image quality is any good? Anyone ever played with an ISight?

its a webcam... good quality for a webcam, but it's not a camera.

Not to mention walking around the city with an earpiece barking "TAKE THE SHOT" is not very conducive to blending in. In fact you might get some police attention!

occum's razor! I think buttons are better....

would saying "take the shot" in a crowd be like yelling FIRE?????

yeah I could see issues.....of course if you continue to say it, then you can catch your beatdown by the cops on tape :D

What is the megapixel resolution of a webcam?
I am sure you can change the script to fire on "Hey baby, what's your sign?" !
Or "Man, you like like **** lying there on the sidewalk."
Click.
