View Full Version : Film Leader Retriever
I just received this in the mail. It's the same one that sells in a couple of big name stores for $10 and up. $19.95 at B&H! I just ordered another. And they don't make it up on the shipping. I love it when I get a bargain! Stu

I have a poor man's leader fix: Open the film cannister in a dark room or bag and transfer the spool of film (w/leader out) into a snap-top reusable cannister. Problem solved!

I operate on multiple levels: I'm cheap too.
Holy {whatever}! $1.97 buy it now!
This looks very similar, not exactly, but similar to the one I just paid $12 and change for last week at a local camera store!

Even a poorer one is like last spring when I accidentally wound one back in and none of the tricks would get it out. I just stopped by a Walgreens and asked the lady behind the photo counter if she would please pull it out for me. It took her all of maybe 3 seconds. :)
I've been sitting here pulling leaders out of test reels. I think I should think about winterizing the pool?
Thanks for the HU Stu! :) I bought a couple too! All sold on that link, here's a new one:
