Just got an offer to buy one for 1300 and this would be my first lens for my M7.

Good deal?

I had picked one up about two months ago for $900, nearly pristine with just a few marks on the lens hood. I was thinking of a Zeiss Biogon, but the deal on the Elmarit was so good I couldn't pass it up. It hasn't left my MP since.

For US$1300, I would rather top up about US$400 and get the 28 Summicron Asph used. They do come up from time to time.
