Contax production dates

I read some info on the net somewhere today that explained how Contax used a letter of the alphabet for production runs of cameras. It gave the letters and the corresponding years. Does anyone know this info or where it can be found? (My IIa CD has a serial number beginning with F.)

I have it in a book Frank. It will take a little digging but I can find it, scan and email it to you. Or, maybe save it as a JPEG and breech someone's copyright by posting it here.

Thanks, Ralph. If you find the book, please just look up the "F" lot production date(s). The weird thing is, I read this info today somewhere on the web, I just can't remember or find where.
