View Full Version : A happy camper
If things go as planned this weekend I'll be filling some holes in my FSU camera collection when I acquire some gear from a local buddy who has decided to focus his efforts on motorcycle restoration rather than commie cameras.
My probable acqusitions include:
1956 Zorki 4 (1st year, almost mint). It was originally mine but foolishly traded it to him as part of another deal.
1963 Zorki 4.
Last model of the FED 2 with flat top and lever wind.
Two FED 4 variations.
Jupiter 12 LTM
Rigid I-33
BTW: He has some additional FSU cameras and lenses I may be selling for him. I'll post a list when we get it all sorted out.

Congrats. Especiallly on getting back one you obviuously missed and developed "traders remorse" on.
The 1956 Z4 was the first year. They don't turn up too often.

Whoo! Great acquisitions!
I've got a question about the FED 4's. I bought one on fleabay from a reputable british seller, but the selenium meter was broken (i got it for dirt cheap! minus the shipping...) is there any way to replace that? I have the selenium window held in by glue.
Let me know if you've got a spare Industar-22 collapsible. I'd love to own and use one :)

There might be an I-22 in the other stuff he wants to sell. I check.
I've heard of some people trying --successfully and unsuccessfully, to replace the selenium cells. Often, it's not the cell that's bad --it's the connection--the soldering goes bad. This is a problem with a lot of old meters--not just the ones in FSU gear.
Happy camper I guess!! Congrats Wayne. When the time comes, share pics @ C&C of your Zorki 4 homecoming!
Been there done that on the motorcycle restorations years ago ~ Brit bikes. FSU RFs are easier on the knuckles and eardrums... most of the time.
