Hi guys,

Today I bought another pack of Portra400 and freaked out over the price!! 8€ per roll!!

Now I use it for assignments but also for snapshot daily stuff. Is there a cheaper alternative for my daily stuff???

Help! ;(

I'd say a consumer colour print I pay about £1-2.00 per roll for Kodak or Fuji 400.

Something like Agfa Vista 400 (really Fuji) will be fine or Superia 400.

This:

Both are good enough for workaday images and snap shots. If you live in near the UK Poundland has 200 ISO Kodak for....a pound!

Fine colours for a quid. Do you have Euro shops in Holland? Or possibly Aldi or Lidl will have the same stuff...

That is the Kodak 200 £1 per 24exp roll. I actually prefer the Fuji 200. Lots of places have cheap consumer film:

Should work out just fine for snaps.

I bought a load of Superia 200 recently which seems to scan well. Even Kodak ColorPlus isn't too bad, and dirt cheap:

i second using superia. i used to regularly use 200 and 400 with nothing but good results. i recently bought some superia 800 but havent developed any of the shots yet.
