I'm going thru the regional forum and I don't see an area for the midwest! What gives? Shall we have a Chicago meet sometimes?

Not a town for the meek...

I live one hour away from Chicago. Go there often enough to amass a nice portfolio of the loop.

I'm in Schaumburg.. just a 1/2 hour drive away.

Madison, WI is a fairly short drive from Chicago. I really need to get down there again and do some Speed Graphic street shooting... :)

I love Chicago. I've never lived there, but I've visited semi-frequently ever since I was very young.

One of my fave places to shoot. Next trip I hope to shoot a couple rolls of Kodachrome 64 in the downtown area ...

I live two hours away. When I go to Chicago, which is very seldom, I take the South Shore Railroad.

There seems to be enough chicago members here to warrant our own region forum..

Is Don Sorsa still around? He used to post some neat Chicago shots here. Haven't seen him in awhile.

True! He even had a show there... all his Bessa R and CV15 photos of bikers in the loop.

When, where, how? A meeting in town would be interesting. How about starting at Central Camera?

I'm way in the western burbs, but I'd be up for a meet.

I'm in Evanston, and would enjoy a group meet. A supper destination could be fun, too!

I pick the one with the new stuff. You can have the used gear! :)

Actually... that's a place I'm sure we all know, not to mention that it's kinda nice on Saturday mornings. Only drawback: we'd be blocking the view for those who go there for their "what-kind-of-digital-camera-should-I-buy-to-photograph-
my-grandkids" crowd.

The store gets a lot of business from these folks. Gotta help'em survive! :)
