thanks, keith. this is the range i've been wanting, and it only took three rolls of experimentation to get it. the ap 400 was flatter than i have come to expect, to boot. :) PP was easy ...

thank you all. yes, cat, twice dilution B time, or thereabouts. the gentle swirl agitation kept grain way down. 5 secs to start, then two gentle swirls at the top of each minute.
the time is kind of a middling one because of the odd temp between standards 68F and 75F, but 72F is what our tap water settles into this time of year. in high summer, it will run about 75. then i'll have to back off the time, accordingly.

Wonderful tonality, Paul! I'm still looking for a developer I really like, looks like HC-110 is a strong contender. I have to give it a try, I think.
