UHS-1 95mb/s cards?

I've read a few posts about using UHS-1 95mb/s cards in X100 and Xpro-1's, was wondering if anyone is doing this right now, and if they could share some insight.

I've also read the X100 and XPro-1 are UHS-1 able so to make it even better of a choice.

If anything, just to get the convo going.

I'm seeing local retailers even has some Sandisk Extreme Pro 16GB 95mb/s cards in stock.


It seems like a reasonable performance gain, for the price for use in these cameras.

I was using 45 mb/s UHS-1 cards, picked up two 16GB 95 mb/s cards on Amazon - I haven't done a lot of shooting in the last week, but I haven't really noticed a difference. The camera still locks up for a second with 6 fps drive enabled, shooting a string of shots doesn't seem to write any faster.

I have a couple Transcend Class 10 UHS-1 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208602), which are capable of 10 MB/s write speed. They work great in the X-Pro1. No problems.

Haven't measured them against a slower card in camera, but I would assume faster cards are faster.

I prefer these UHS-1 cards since I use a USB 3.0 card reader. I see read speeds of 130-150 MB/s with UHS-1 cards on a USB 3.0 port. The older SD cards tend to top off at about 30, 50 MB/s due to the limitations of the card itself.

Personally I don't machine gun much, so I haven't encountered any 'buffering' wait times with the X-Pro1—or the M9 for that matter.

It's no secret that these uhs-1 cards are very useful in the Fuji X cameras. I'd go as far as to say that they are necessary for the camera to perform as well as it can... since the cameras support these cards.

I just bought a Sandisk 16gb UHS-1 card from Bestbuy locally and did some unscientific (using a stopwatch) random testing multiple times and can confirm the writing speed increase is super beneficial.

X100 Raw file write Class 10 32gb Centon card: 2.9 seconds
X100 Raw file write Class 10 16gb Sandisk UHS-1 90mb/s: 1.8 seconds

XP1 Raw file write class 10 32gb Centon card: 4.3 seconds
XP1 Raw file write class 10 16gb Sandisk UHS-1 90mb/s: 1.9 seconds

Don't even need a timer or care to, it's just faster and very useful.. I think even the light blinks faster.

Yeah, have to correct my earlier statement, somehow the 45 mb/s card got put back in. With the 95mb/s card, a burst at 6 frames/sec clears for more shooting (but not review/etc.) in under 2 seconds.

I got the Sandisk Extreme Pro 8GB card. I have to say that the write time has improved tremendously... I am shooting only JPEGs (fine), so it does seem even more faster than the 4GB card that came with the camera.

I am using the 8GB Sandisk UHS-1 95mb/s cards, they work really well.
Even though I shoot Raw/JPEG I prefer the 8GB, less to lose if something goes wrong, quicker to copy to the hard drive

I use the same exact card in the same size for the same reason LS99.
