Great photos. I really like the kids bouncy horse playground rides, they look so out of place there.

Thanks guys. This is an amazing site. Back in the days they produced crude iron. Not everything is accessible now but you can climb on one of the huge blast furnaces and there is lots of rust and steel structures that makes nice photos.
At night it looks like this

Wow those are incredible colors! Is it still being lit up at night like that, or is that a photo you made when it was still producing?

The steel production closed in 1985 and some enthusiastic people prevented that the buildings were torn down. In 1996 it opened as a park and the light installation was designed by an artist.
The site has an english webpage: http://en.landschaftspark.de/startseite

A great series of shots, Tom, especially the nightime one. What made that swirly pattern at the bottom of the photo?

When the camera was set on the tripod I saw two people coming from the left. One was pointing a flashlight to the ground the other one carried the flashlight straight. Was surprised that it made such a nice pattern. Too bad the pattern does not cover the whole photo. 20 sec exposure.

I was thinking that, Tom. I was out taking some meteor photos one night, and a fellow decided to walk in front of my camera as we talked. After a few seconds he realised what was going on, and asked if I had the camera working. Even with no lights around, he still left a ghostly image in the starshine. I was more afraid of him knocking over my tripod as he ducked to get out of the view, than him ruining the shot.

I love 1, 6, 9 and the night exposure. 6 could be out of a SF film. 9 is my absolute favourite, so graphically strong!
The walkers lit with the torches is a very interesting movement study all by itself.

That is the one the caught my attention too. They're all great -makes me want to visit there.
