GS645 bellows availability!

Greetings!

Just got word back from www.camerabellows.com that they can supply a new bellows for the GS645 folder. Their price is 37.59 GBP, or $66 USD including air mail postage to the USA. Guess I better order one because I noticed bits flaking off my bellows yesterday <sigh>.

Are the replacement bellows more durable than the originals? Perhaps they should use the same material that was used for Speed Graphic bellows.

Hello Robert,

I am not 100% sure of the construction of the bellows supplied by these folks. I have read on the 'net that others have had positive experience with these on their GS645 folders. Others have presumed that Camera Wiz uses these bellows when servicing GS645 folders. I'm going to give them a try, it is better than continually patching an original that is flaking apart.

I just had my GS645 bellows done here in California. Western Bellows made it and my repairperson was Henry Paine in Stockton, a meticulous crafstman. Western was a little slow in gettng it done, but looks like a fantastic job. The original bellows seems to have a reputation for short life. I have a Super Ikonta B whose bellows is still good after forty years.

How much was that replacement bellows from Western Bellows? I still haven't placed an order for the Camera Bellows' replacement (waiting for payday).
