I bought one of these five years ago and found it to be too big for my ltm and not as nice on my M's. It is a lovely lens and like new. Could someone hazard a guess as to its value? I should have bought the 35mm which I was offered (in screw mount) at the time instead as it would have been of more use. One lives and learns I guess. Thankyou. Meabh.
I didn't know that lens existed in ltm.
Just out of curiosity, can we see pictures of it?

Sorry sanmich. I don't have access to a digicam at the moment. They do show up on e-bay but I don't trust the prices being quoted. Thanks for your reply.
Is this it?

Those were a limited edition and I think only sold in Japan. Fellow Dutch RFF-member Philippus has one and showed it recently, attached to a prewar black paint Leica II. That was either in a 'silver lens on black body' thread or in the show your Leica LTM thread. Not sure there.
Lovely lens, would take it in a heartbeat if I had any money to spend on it at all. I'd love to team it up with my own black paint Leica's.
Sorry, I was thinking 35mm FL...

Sorry, I was thinking 35mm FL...
There's a screwmount 35 in the classifieds now, but it's a 'cron (http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost-classifieds/showproduct.php/product/32814/title/leica-35cron-asph-2c-90-elmarit-2c24-elmarit-asph-2c-nex5/cat/2).
Not sure if there ever was a screwmount 35 'lux. Anyone?

Pete, Yes that is the one. Does anyone have a realistic price?

I was seriously shopping for one of those in an M mount (Silver, type 4, pull out hood) and the price seemed to hover around $3,300.
On occasion I would see one (I thought) for cheaper, click the ad in excitement and then see that it was not an M mount (like yours) and required an adapter.
If I remember correctly, these were somewhere from $2,300 and up.
Sorry, this is all based on my foggy memory.

Quick question, what is the adapter like? In that Flickr photo posted there is a little gold ring in the photo--is that the adapter? If so that is quite small. I pictured something like a Micro Four Thirds adapter...
If so I may be interested in it.

I have the 35 Summicron ASPH and the 50 Summicron (current version) in LTM. The 50 'lux in LTM is the only one that I'm missing. When I was last looking in the summer of 2011, the asking price was about $4000, from a seller in Japan.
Leica made only 1000 of each for the Japanese market in 1999. These lenses are rare.
I'm quite satisfied with my 'crons. At the price quoted for the pre-ASPH Summilux 50, I might as well get a 50 ASPH Summilux in M mount.

I realise thatI have too much stuff for my needs, a result of forty years with M's. I think my ideal would be to find a swap of the summilux and the M6 for an Mp but I guess that isn't likely.
