Yashica MG-1 Film Advance?

In the Yashica MG-1 manual it says you can tell if the film is loaded correctly if the rewind knob turns when you advance the film. Halfway through a roll of film I realized the knob does not turn when I turn the advance lever. Does this necessarily mean the film has not been properly loaded?

I tried it and I got resistance, but the knob still doesnt turn when I advance the film. Do I turn it in the direction of the arrow?

Ok, I turned it the right direction and it stopped.
The wind lever takes normal force.

You were right. I loaded the film wrong.

I loaded the film correctly last week. It had been working fine but now the lever is stuck in mid- wind. How do I fix this?

Push on the button on the bottom of the camera that lets you rewind film. That should free the lever.
