Is that the new Impossible stuff? The b&w's look really good, I didn't know Polaroids were capable of such great results! (The colour one also looks very nice!)

Oooops! Mine is a Model 95. I had to dig it out to verify. Does the Fuji product work in this camera? Mine is new in the box.

I shot a LOT of SX-70 when I was in school. Probably sent more money to Polaroid than to Phillip Morris. I was lucky enough to have gotten to use the pre-hardened emulsion- it was extremely flexible:

The later emulsion didn't move as elastically:

I also did a bunch of multiple exposures by removing the battery so the motor wouldn't run, then reloading the exposed sheet into another pack with a battery. Big fun.

I don't have an SX-70, I just lost one on eBay but actually I'm quite glad because using my 450 recently I'm very happy with the quality of the shots, especially B+W. No doubt I'll have an SX-70 soon though, the shots are really cool.

I've bought one of Corey's cleaned and contemporary batteried Polaroids (http://www.landcameras.com/), along with a sack-full of 3000b, 100b and 100c film.

I also have a Polaroid SLR-680 and two SX-70s (one Model II and one Sonar) and am using an old supply of TZ-Artistic film, and the new stuff from Impossible. (Their emulsions can be a bit hit-or-miss - especially the unprocessed blotches - but I figure if I keep buying they'll work it out soon enough).

My first child is due in the next month, and I intend to shoot her incessantly with the Polaroids as well as my Leicas. There's just something so great about the physicality of instant film.

And the 'ping' when you pull out the film!

Because the 450 has the electronic self timer I have to switch the plastic back on the fuji stuff for the flatter Polaroid version. I read also it's possible to remove the springs attached to the timer unit so I'll investigate that when I'm ready for my next film.

I really need to burn a pack of film just to test the limitations of my camera. I bought a 250 and have burned through a couple of packs, but really need to get a better handle on how it's exposing things. *Lots* of stuff coming out too dark and dull even after adjusting the ring, but definitely a couple of keepers in there.

The pack film is a lot of fun, though...and I have washed a few negatives with bleach, which comes up with some really cool things.

Couldn't agree more. The object in hand has a certain something lacking in other photographic prints- which has a lot to do with scale I think.

Thanks for the info. That explains why it feels quite different to use.

Should be getting the portrait attachment soon so that will complete my list of accessories (apart from the close-up filter and UV filter but not sure I'll bother with those)
