I'm curious as well. Is it the Nex 50mm Elmar: modest aperture, size, price and crisp images?

We'll see - I ordered one. I've rarely been disappointed by macro lenses, and the corresponding Alpha 30mm is generally considered optically very nice, but a bit flimsy in construction.

The Micro-Nikkor is the normal lens I use for the F. No autofocus etc on the Nex! I've yet to devise / find a suitable footed adapter for the Nex.

I'm very surprised the 30 macro is not visibly sharper than the kit.
