Cable release

Hi guys,

Does anybody know that cable release for Leica rangefinder will also work for my Zorki 4? Does it fit as perfectly as the lens do on Russian camera?

Hallo Kerkey!

By a happy coincidence, yesterday I tried out my cable release on a Fed 2, Zorki 4K and Zorki 6. It worked on the Fed, but not on the Zorki 6. On the Zorki 4K , the shutter fired but the camera just kept winding on until the cable release was unscrewed. I have no idea why the results should be so different; in theory the cable release should work, but in practice I think you'll have to try it and see!

I have 2 or 3 different cable release's and all of them work fine on my Zorki 4, 4K ,fed 3b's and my Kiev 4M.
