A couple of things a photographer really needs:
1. A Body of Work
2. A Little Exposure
Even if it is a small town newspaper...;)

Frank, Michael, Chris, Ralph...thanks guys! It is always nice to see a little exposure from a project that was all fun and a lot of work! Made a bunch of friends at the same time.

nah, my wife fell and wound up in a wheelchair so I am going to have to wait another 5 weeks and then off to rehab for her. Looking like a November project.
Well done .... I just sold my first photo, and it kinda makes ya feel good :)

congratulations, my friend.
Dave, I'm sorry. my best wishes to her.
November is the best season for film processing.
The tri-X are ripe and the D76 in blossom.
Shoot me a note and I'll be glad to work on this with you.;)

Thanks, Robert... I tried my best to get some previous DSLR photos to work but gave up and went with TriX and Ilford 100 film. I immediately saw that the character of what I saw in the town was matched very well with the character of the images on film. The other two I am working on will be done in a similar way with some minor differences mostly having to do with more abstracts and more people rather than an architectural documentary.:)

Oh, just noticed, the article didn't give a link to the book:

Wonderful job Dave. Good write up about your hard work. Sorry to hear about your wife having to go through therapy. Mine goes to see the Neurologist next Friday. Hoping & praying for a swift recovery to both our wives.

Nice job and great project. I wish you the best of luck with your book. These types of projects become quite valuable to a community. As the area surely will change, your journal of this period will become like a time capsule.
Cheers!

Hey, thanks, Andy. Speaking of time capsules, I have already had a Master Plan of another small town placed in a 100-yr time capsule about 10 years ago. Be neat to know what the folks down the line think about the plan and photos and how it compares then to now.
Congrats, Dave!
Nice article and a great project for you to have done.

Just got a few copies of the Sunday paper and the article plus photos took up the whole front page of the Arts section of the paper.

Seriously!
That is a big coverage to be featured in the news about your work, not when something happened to you :)
A hearty congratulations, Dave.

Congratulations, sounds like a great project.
Thank you, George...I have two other books in progress and a very large documentary planned for 2012. This first one was a learning curve in book-making but I am very happy with AdoramaPix. Great quality.
