Not in the casual sense...but in a professional sense. Just wondering how many folks are using their M2/M3/M4/M5/M6/M7/MP cameras professionally. Posting examples of your work would be very interesting and please accept my appreciation in advance.
Define "professionally" :D
I've made money from using film RF's, reportage assignments.. did 2 weddings (I don't think I'll ever shoot a wedding again, don't enjoy it). And I exhibit my photos probably twice a year at least (does that count as professional?).
They're just cameras. ;)

Okay, not to get in the RFF debate about "professional" again, what I mean is something, a project, an assignment, a book, whatever that you did for a client who paid for the work and was happy with it. The most recent examples would be nice.
For instance, there are a number of professional photographers on RFF that use these film cameras for a living. Riccis, Damaso, etc. and they are masters at what they do.
The reason for this thread is to enlighten the areas of use for these film cameras as they are not just for hobbyists, collectors or tourists. They and those that use them are much more than that.

Dear Dave,
Quite honestly, the M9 earns me more than the film Ms.
Cheers,

Yes, and I have no doubt that you do...it only takes a little searching on the information dirt road to find a lot of examples...but I would like those using film M cameras to showcase some of their professional work with film.
One day I hope to find an M9 at a thrift store:p, but until then, my interest primarily lies with using film M cameras in a professional sense. That is why I specifically would like to see examples of these specific cameras.
Maybe you can post an example of one of your favorite professional images as well.:)
Yes, samples from past jobs that show what kind of genre,s RF Professionals are shooting...
Very interested in sample images

I did an wedding earlier this year and got paid well for it... M3, DR Summicron. Fuji Pro film.

I've used my m4-p a few times on paying gigs and had wonderful results. However, the time factors (costs) of processing and scanning have caused me to use digital almost exclusively.
I think Dave must show his work as well - it's really worth seeing it!

Dave,

Love the weddings, Dave. Real, yep! Soft and easy to look at? Yeah, absolutely!
There are a lot of people who are selling their images produced with film M bodies. So, post whatcha got, folks!

You can see many more on my site and blog as everything 35mm has been shot with Ms.
Cheers,
Well I use my M8s professionally (photography and associated work is what I do) and files from them are accepted by my stock agencies, but as one of my agencies has caused me to rethink how much I post on line due to exclusivity requirements, I'm rethinking what, if anything to post on the web in future and if I do so, where, so sorry no pix at this time.
I strive for Ricci's quality - he's set the bar and I wish, one day, to be on his level with the film Ms..
Thanks for the compliments Dave Lackey :)
Cheers,
Dave
