Okay, the first person to tell me what is featured in the attached photo and what it has got to do with photography (other than that it's a poor picture, but the only frame I saved from a roll that suffered a freak accident) will receive a bottle of my favourite beer incl. free shipment.

PS -- Sorry, I don't drink beer, so you'll have to drink it yourself. Please donate the value of shipping same to the USA to your favorite disaster-relief organization.

You shoulda clicked the link in my post. The picture shows 77 Pottery Lane, Notting Hill, London, which was the site of David Hemmings' fictitious studio in the film Blow-Up.

Remember where he kept the camera when he drove?

Never saw the movie, so I'm almost afraid to ask...

Yeah, that's the only thing I could figure out: a 77 on an English-styled door (although it could be anywhere), except that there's a Cooper in the shot, so that's a strong argument for UK. Funny that it's parked on the right side and not on the "other" side facing the same way.

I give up. Besides, I don't think you can ship beer just anywhere...you may have to send an IOU?

So...was ist das?

Darn, apparently that was too easy. jlw got it right.
As he wishes, the cost of beer + shipping will go to some charity.

Couldn't you have just posted a photo of Jane Birkin?? :)

Who, this?

(Yikes, it all comes back to me now... the era when people other than dancers were wearing fuzzy leg warmers in places other than in dance studios... the horror, the horror...)

I could just barely read the sign reading "Pottery Lane" in the upper right hand corner, and saw the 77 on the door. So, I investigoogled "77 Pottery Lane" and got the hit I posted as a link.

"You know my methods, Watson. Apply them."

The glovebox! He dumped it in loose.

So? That's what I do (not that it has made me an international sex symbol or anything, at least not the last time I checked.) What else would you do with a camera while driving?

Actually, I've got so much loose stuff in the glovebox that the camera is probably as well-protected in there as it would be in a padded case.
