Anyone else notice this mode very closely emulates C41 color negative film?

My problem with these "toy" modes is that once you shoot them you are stuck with them. With Olympus you can shoot native as in the NEX or shoot in RAW and apply in the Oly software, over and over. Cool. Anyway it does look cool.

If you shoot in Tri-X, you can't convert to Velvia 50 later ...

You've got a point there Ted!

I use RAW+Jpg on quite a few of my digital cameras, writing the "effect" I want to the JPG and still getting the Raw in case I want to do something else with the image. This would solve Ken's issue.

Does the Nex do that (I imagine it does).

I know in the standard modes you can do raw + jpg, but not sure about the art filter modes.

I think there's something about letting the tool do it's thing, kind of like letting T-Pain sing through the autotuner with no backup ... ;)
