View Full Version : Happy Birthday dmr436!!!
Somewhere in Middle America dmr436 is celebrating a birthday today!!! :)
Now, we may look at her name and think there is a code there, is she 43, or maybe 36 or....never mind this it is not polite.
Have a very Happy Birthday.

Thanks everybody. :) I had almost forgotten I put that date in there.
I'm not gonna admit how many years, but let's just say I wish I could be 43, or better yet 36 again. :)
Nope, no special code (more of a code in "Somewhere in Middle America"), and it's pronounced just like it's spelled. :)

Happy Birthday, DMR. Hope you and the Mamiya get some good pictures today.
You must be young. You haven't used flashbulbs very much.
Things to never do with a winklight: Rewire it to be a battery operated movie light. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Drains the battery to quickly.
Happy birthday dmr - you're only as old as you feel! :)
Happy Birthday DMR. Hope you have a good one.

I hear the weather is kind of toasty in Guatemala this time of year ;)
Happy Birthday. Have lots and lots and lots of cake.

Guatemala? Hmmm... I think DMR was once a happy Chicago inhabitant, weren't you?
In any case, may your Kodachrome shots make you happy today and for ever! :)

Many happy returns, dmr436! :)

Guatemala???? !!!! LOL!
That's Central America, not Middle America. :)
I guess that song is over 10 years old now, so it looks like it's zooming over heads. :) :)
No, I never lived in Chicago but I have relatives there and I've visited frequently ever since I was very young.
In any case, may your Kodachrome shots make you happy today and for ever! :)
Thanks. :) I've ended up with 3 more rolls of Kodachrome 64, traded them even for 3 rolls of Fuji 400, so I'll be shooting more of it soon. :)
Hmmmm ... point to ponder ... if you're in Guatemala, does that make Mexico the Great White North? :) :) :)
Happy B'Day, DMR! Just about anywhere is south of us, so I hope you're enjoying the tropical weather :D

Yes, Joe, Gabriel mentioned cake... and made my mouth water! :)
DMR436... isn't your name Annie or am I getting you mixed up with someone else? You are pretty knowledgeable about Chicago, hence I assumed you had lived there.
BTW, I am the native Guatemalan in the forum. How's that for serendipity? :)
Still... keep shooting K-chrome, and sending it to Dwayne's lab in KS! They're great people to work with! :)
Hmmmm ... I thought this thread had died - your message didn't show up in new for me.

Annie is my longtime nickname. I tried to shake it for so long and when I started answering to it I guess I just decided to keep it. :) I even use it on my business cards. :)

I've been happy with Dwayne's so far. I maled the last roll off on Sunday and got the slides back that coming Friday. I'm still getting re-familiar with the Kodachrome. I like the results so far and I have 3 rolls left which will last me for a while.

I have three K-chrome rolls to mail to KS. They're not exactly critical work... but I really like the technicolor tones you get in skin. It's a neat film to shoot fall coloring too.
Glad you had a nice b-day!
Happy to read you had a great b-day DMR ! And enjoy the lot of ones that will come ! :)
