Aren't movie cameras made for movie sized negatives, i.e, half frames, like the Olympus Pen F? How would this work with a normal full frame 35mm picture?

Well this may be a 35mm movie camera lens, I'm not sure, however some lenses designed for 16mm movie cameras have also been adapted to LTM with apparently some success, or at least a fan base.

This is an interesting piece of work, but I'd be extremely surprised if they got their asking price of 29K for it.

Just saw this, was doing a lens project last evening.

That's amazing. I can believe that a Movie production had the budget to have custom lenses made for filming, this could be one of them. The diameter of the optics suggest a movie format, I will be interested in seeing the images taken with the lens. I've seen some $40,000 lenses with a production run of 8 lenses.

Of course the good news is- it would probably be perfect for the M8...

These lens are sought after for m4/3rds, but even on that sensor they still have significant vignetting.

An interesting remount though, and rangefinder coupled - love to know how it was done!

Odd looking movie lens, especially for 35mm. It's too small really. The condition looks fairly newish, but any modern movie lens would not have aperture markings like that, would have a large focusing ring and where does the follow focus go?

I wonder if it's a 35mm f0.95 movie 'projector' lens that has been rehoused. Very different beast...

I have a couple of those i accidentally bought from the bay before realising!

Projector lenses usually do not have an aperture mechanism.

Probably a movie camera lens. I am NOT spending the money to find out!

Talk about a runaway budget to create a lens like that.

Looks like the seller will post some pictures from the lens soon. I'm itching to see some pictures from that lens.
