What's needed to fit two 52mm to 49mm step down rings together?

- a male/male 49mm adapter?

i bought two 52 to 59 step down rings to get enough length when fitted together to avoid the macro lens problem with a filter. but the two rings don't screw together

any ideas/suggestions?

1->52-49 + 1->52-55 or 52- Series Vll

thanks for the suggestion. i got another suggestion, which seems obvious now :bang::D

Buy an additional 49 to 52mm step-up ring...it has a m-49mm in one end and a f-52mm in the other.

A step-down ring has a m-52mm in one end and a f-49mm in the other.

Screw step-down to step-up to step-down...f-49 to m-49 and f-52 to m-52.
