Saw an ad last night on TV for Chanel perfume and the model was sporting a Leica M9. I bet she smelled better than those BBC photogs from the 80's.:D

My wife received a Women's clothing catalog last week, the model was sporting a Revere 40 Magazine-8 movie camera, circa 1951! I have some KMA-460 for mine. I also have a Cine-Revere-Nikkor 13mm F1.9 on mine. She had the Cine-Revere F2.5 lens.

I think it's funny when camera companies get some clueless model to show off their latest DSLR, and they stand up and hold it like a point and shoot and wonder why they drop it later on...

Is it the advert on the train with Audrey Tautou? She does shoot with a Leica in real life too apparently.

It's been around for a while. It's an M8.

Brilliant cinematography. Jean Pierre Jeunet is really good with colours I think.

M8 three frames in one second, the way to freeze up the shutter. Must be artistic license.

As has been said, it's been around for a while, the camera's an M8 and the model is actress Audrey Tatou who actually does own a Leica. Also, even if she were clueless I'm sure Karl Lagerfeld is quite aware of what a Leica M is and how it's used.

Wow, I guess she'll be getting lots of product launch jobs after that one.

Audrey Tautou is hot in this commercial. And you can clearly see the top plate with M8 configuration. It seems that someone gave her a Leica and she's been shooting with it ever since, even taking photos of each journalist who interviews her.
