What Graduated filter?

I have never used a graduated ND filter before and noticed that there are various densities available.
What is a good value to darken a bright sky in a landscape shot?
Considering to use it with a 15mm lens.

FLearned from other sites: 0.6 soft grad.

I used a Sunpak 0.6 on this shot with the dark side down to keep the white foam from within range.

Great shot, never would have imaged to use it the way you did.
I would only think about darkening the sky...
