Hey guys
Got a new version of my website up. I was wondering if you could take a quick look and provide some feedback as to how I can better it or better the selection of photographs! I would really appreciate any advice!

All the best!

My first impression is move the site navigation to the right of your name and number. Reason is because I am on a 1200x800 monitor and the bottom of your images are being cut off. You should aim to have the image above the fold. Putting the navigation to the right of your name would allow everything to move up the page. That would allow people using a 1024x768 monitor to see all of your image, without having to scroll down. You could also save more room, by removing some of the space between the top of the page and your name. See attached.

I would also considering moving the image navigation to the right or left, so that is also above the fold. Here is an example of it: http://www.francovogt.com/

I'm not crazy about the font used for your name or the site navigation. It might not seem like a big thing, but typography can add a lot to a site.

Thanks for the input. Check it out now!

It might be nice to tell people in English where you are located. Not everyone can tell the difference between Spanish and Italian.

You have some very nice photos on your site.

I always look sideways at bios written in the third person (http://www.bonattodesign.com/?page_id=12) on a personal website.

Unless of course, someone else wrote it. In general the site looks very clean and is easily navigated.

Point taken! How do you feel about first person bios? Isn't it a bit personal??

Art is personal, no?

When I write anything about myself, I usually edit it a few times, trying to remove instances of "I", "me" and "My" as much as possible. Perhaps this leads to too much passive voice, but third person sounds stilted.

The site is nice and clean, images load very quickly on my third world DSL. Though gallery load times are excessively long (over 3 minutes for curious observations)

I agree with the comments above, typography is extremely important, I just wish I understood it better :)

A couple of points though, your URL’s are not ptimi for SEO.

E.g. http://www.bonattodesign.com/?page_id=8

?page_id=8 means nothing for Google and other search engines, it would be better with a descriptive name e.g. http://www.bonattodesign.com/blog

The way the navigation works with the drop downs it would be good to name each gallery on the landing pages, just the title beneath each thumbnail.

Did you create your site in Rapidweaver?

The slow loading has happened intermittently, I'm not sure what's the issue.

I'll see what I can do about the thumbnail descriptions! Permalinks updated for better SEO.
I built it with wordpress and a themefoundry theme!

Thanks!!
