I have a chance to buy an Argus C3 (I think that's what it is) with case for $25.00, at a local antiques(read: Junk) shop. I tried it out, and of course everything is gummed up good. Are there sites like the FED and Zorki sites where you can get information about how to disassemble and clean them? I think I would like to try to restore this old camera to working order.
Thanks to all who reply.
With best regards,

They are pretty easy to work on...not a whole bunch going on in there...
Start here (http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-86.html)
I've had an Argus C3 for ten or more years...forgot where I got it or how much I paid for it...but it just sat in a bottom dresser drawer all this time...just a few months ago I decided to get it out and really have a good look at it...I opened it up, cleaned it and then put a new skin on it...it's ready to go now and it really looks great...
They are neat cameras to play with and they can produce very nice (sharp) negs...Just don't drop too much into them as you'll never recover your investment...some will say that $25 is too much for it...I have at least $30 in mine and that includes the new skin...

Bargain the price down about half for the work you are going to have to put into it.

I find when going to antique shops that the prices they put on things are pretty much assuming they don't work. Most antique dealers and buyers don't care if cameras work. They want to put it on a shelf and go, "What a nice old camera thingy that is."
If you are really interested, bargain the price down or look for another one. You shouldn't have trouble finding a working one for that price. I bought mine for $3.00 at a yard sale!
