View Full Version : Adapter for G Biogon 28mm F/2.8??
What adapter works with the 28mm G-Biogon on GF1???
thanks so much
Search Amazon, there are a couple. However read the reviews regarding the focusing ring on these .. as the G lenses are all auto-focus those adapters have to do the focusing and from what I've read, not too well. I've yet to buy one myself because I'd hate to ruin my lenses :-)
If you order one, let me know how it works out. I need to eventually get one too :-)
As far as I can make out, none work. The exit pupil on the G 28mm (and shorter) has not enough distance to the sensor, leading to dramatic vignetting and colour shifts. And that is on a NEX - IIRC they don't even fit mechanically on MFT cameras with their smaller shutter box, as Biogon type designs put their biggest elements deep inside the camera.
Ironically I just saw Metabones' eBay listing .. I know some ppl like their adapters for other type lenses:
I sent them a message on there specifically asking if they have tested it with the 28mm. Awaiting a reply.
I have the same setup. The 35, 45 & 90 work super the photos are outstanding. To use the 28 you have to cut off the plastic guards around the back of the lens. I did not cut mine as I use it on my Cointax G1 also. There are links on how to trim the plastic on you tube, its easy. If you are going to keep the lens and not sell it then trim the plastic.
Yeah he sent me the link. I'm not hacking up my lens.
