I'm surprised nobody seems to have posted about this:
http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/pentax-mirrorless-system-with-ultratiny-sensor-5x/
An interchangeable-lens system with, of all things, a 5.6x crop sensor. On the one hand it seems thoroughly pointless. But if it's cheap enough, it might be a really fun system...like a hardwre Instagram with different lenses
The only way this could work would be if it was cheap. Really cheap. Especially considering you can get an m4/3 cam for under $500....
If it does turn out to be cheap and actually have useable image quality I could see it being quite fun.

Shame about the crop factor. I'd hoped they would have used a sensor about the same size as a frame of 110 film and built it so that old Auto 110 lenses would fit (without any crop factor!)
But if it's small enough and cheap enough and has a good crop of nice small lenses, it might still work out.

Like, with a series of trick lenses, crazy art filters, and a $250 price tag.

Unless and until they reveal their sources, I'm going to assume that those specs are about as reliable as a politician's promise.
Well, will it be the same as the C-mount camera just announced by their sister company Kenko?

Sure it's the same sensor.
But I prefer a C-mount camera than a new Pentax mount camera.
Actually, no I don't.
I prefer C-mount lenses on a (future) "pro" RF-like M43 camera.
I figured out what NC stands for, "NO CROP" -that means Full Frame sensor! WOHOOO!

Wow I was surprised to read about the sensor size/crop factor. At any rate slap a Canon 300mm on that camera and you can practically photograph some footprints on the moon.
